HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-043 CCRMember Bill Fignar introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80 -43 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF HAROLD PIERCE WHEREAS, Harold Pierce served as a member of the Planning Commission from January, 1974 through December, 1978 and as that body's Chairman during 1979; and WHEREAS, his devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of this Commission and the leadership he provided contributed substantially to the sound progress and development of the City; and WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that: The dedicated public service of Harold Pierce as a member and Chairman of the Planning Commission and citizen, is recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. 1 January 28, 1980 L Date ATTEST: J Clerk Mayor' The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Celia Scott and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
