HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-061 CCRMember Bill Fignar introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80 -61 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED WORK OF MARY JANE GUSTAFSON AS EDITOR OF THE BROOKLYN CENTER POST WHEREAS, Mary Jane Gustafson has served as editor of the Brooklyn Center Post for the past 20 years; and WHEREAS, during that period of time she has continuously reported City Council meetings, advisory commission meetings, and innumerable other events associated with local government and civic activities; and WHEREAS, her reporting of local government and civic activities has helped Brooklyn Center residents to keep well informed about municipal affairs; and WHEREAS, her dedicated work in the field of journalism has helped to create a better understanding of local government by the residents of the City of Brooklyn Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the dedicated work of Mary Jane Gustafson as editor of the Brooklyn Center Post is recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center.
