HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-063 CCRMember Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80 -63 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING CONTRACT FORM DISEASED SHADE TREE REMWAL CONTRACT 1980 B WHEREAS, the City Clerk and the City Engineer have reported that on March 4, 1980, at 11:00 A.M., Central Standard Time, they opened and tabulated bids received for Diseased Shade Tree Removal Project No. 1980 -05, and that said bids were as follows: Bidder 'Total Amount Clark Landscaping $24,851.00 Haines Tree Service Haines Tree Service, Inc. $28,524.00 Arbor Tree Service $33,496.00 Design Tree, Inc. $33,637.00 Hipp's Nursery, Inc. $33,830.00 Bred -Well, Inc. $36,405.00 WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Engineer to the satisfaction of the City Council that the bid of Clark Landscaping is the best bid submitted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the bid of Clark Landscaping, in the amount of $24,851.00, as to furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, and equipment in connection with the above mentioned improvement project(s), according to the plans and specifica- tions therefore now on file in the office of the City Clerk, is deemed to be the best bid submitted for said uork by a responsible bidder, and said bid is hereby accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute a contract with said bidder. March 10, 1980 Date' Mayor ATTEST: The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
