HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-202 CCRMember Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and roved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 79 -202 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTATION FOR REPORESTATION IMPR0Va= PROJECT NO. 1979 -7 (CONTRACT 1979 -F) WHEREAS, Chapter 471.345 of the Minnesota Statutes provides for the purchase of merchandise, materials, or equipment, or any kind of construction work by informal quotations when the amount of such contract is less than ten thousand dollars ($10,000); and VTHT,EA.S, the City Engineer and the Director of Parks and Recreation have obtained quotations for Contract 1979 -F which consists of Reforestation Improve- ment Project No. 1979 -7 and said quotations were as follows: Firm Quotation Midwest Landscaping $5,400.00 Seefert Nursery $6,390.00 Up -A-Tree $6,408.00 Natural Green $6,750.00 Windsor Landscaping $7,380.00 Midland Nursery $7,740.00 Jim 's Tree Service $7,920.00 Landshapes, Inc. $11,250.00 WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Engineer and the Director of Parks and Recreation to the satisfaction of the City Council that the quota- tion of Midwest Landscaping is the best quotation submitted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the quotation of Midwest Landscaping, in the amount of $5,400.00, as to furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, and equip- ment in connection with the above mentioned improvement project(s), according to the plans and specifications therefore now on file in the office of the City Clerk, is deemed to be the best quotation submitted for said work by a responsi- ble contractor, and said quotation is hereby accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute a contract with said contractor. September 10, 1979 Date ATTEST: o"Clerk The notion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
