HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-240 CCR_J 1 Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 79 -240 RESOLUTION TO APPROPRIATE $25,000 IN THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A BROOKLANE PARK SHELTER BUILDING WHEREAS, the Capital Projects Fund was created to provide funds, and to account for the expenditure of such funds, for major capital outlays (which shall include, but not be limited to, construction or acquisition of major permanent facilities having a relatively long life); and /or to reduce debt incurred for capital outlays; and WHEREAS, the sources of revenue for said Capital Projects Fund consists of ad valorem taxation, transfers by the City Council of surpluses of other City Funds, issuance of bonds, interest earnings of the Fund, and from other sources of revenue which from time to time the City Council deems to be available for transfer to the Fund; and WHEREAS, the condition of the existing shelter building at Brooklane Park has deteriorated to the point where it must be demolished and removed from the premises to avoid any possible injuries to occupants; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is necessary to replace the shelter building; and WHEREAS, funds are available in the Capital Projects Fund in the amount of at least $25,000. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to appropriate the amount of $25,000 in the Capital Projects Fund for the construction of a Brooklane Park shelter building.
