HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-259 CCRMember Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 79 -259 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SUPPORTS FOR AND INSTALLATION OF PEDESTRIAN /BICYCLE BRIDGES) (CONTRACT 1979 -I) WHEREAS, Chapter 471.345 of the Minnesota Statutes provides for the purchase of merchandise, materials, or equipment, or any kind of construction work by informal quotations when the amount of such contract is less than ten thousand dollars ($10,00.00); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the construction of supports for and installation of pedestrian/bicycle bridge(s) in conjunction with Shingle Creek Trailways Improvement Project No. 1978 -42, and said quota- tions were as follows: Bidder Tbtal Amount C. S. McCrossan, Inc. 7,228.00 Progressive Contractors, Inc. $10,000.00 WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Engineer to the satis- faction of the City Council that the quotation of C. S. McCrossan, Inc. is the best quotation submitted. NOW, TH='ORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the quotation of C. S. McCrossan, Inc. in the amount of $7,228.00 as to furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, and equipment in connection with the above mentioned improvement project(s), according to the plans and specifications therefor now on file in the office of the City Clerk, is deemed to be the best quotation submitted for said work by a responsible contractor, and said quotation is hereby accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute a contract with said contr. r. November 5, 1979 Dat e Mayor r' ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
