RESOLUTION NO. 79
RESOLUTION ALLOCATING THE REMAINING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
FUNDS ALLOCATED TO THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER TO HENNEPIN
COUNTY FOR CONSIDERATION AS PART OF THE URBAN HENNEPIN
COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT APPLICATION, IN
ACCORD WITH THE HOUSING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974,
AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has executed a cooperation
agreement with Hennepin County agreeing to participate in the Urban
Hennepin County Community Development Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, a three year Community Development Program and Housing
Assistance Plan has been prepared consistent with the Comprehensive
Urban Hennepin County Community Development Strategy and the Community
Development Program regulations; and
WHEREAS, the three year Community Development Program and Housing
Assistance Plan has been subject to citizen review pursuant to the
Urban Hennepin County Citizens Participation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has yet to allocate $25,483
to eligible projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that the City Council approves the allocation of its
remaining Community Development funds to the following specified projects:
1. Local option $9,500
2.. Administration $2,000
3. Housing rehabilitation grant /loan $13,983

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by member Tony Kuefler and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar,
Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
