HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-110 CCRMember Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 79 -110 RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS FOR FURNISHING BITUMINOUS OIL AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO RECEIVE QUOTATIONS FOR BITUMINOUS OIL WHENEVER NECESSARY LJ WHEREAS, the City Clerk and Street Superintendent have reported that on May 8, 1979 at 11:00 a.m., they opened and tabulated bids received for the furnishing of bituminous oil and said bids were as follows: MC -800 RC -800 RC -800 CRS1 -CRS -2 CRSl -CRS2 Bidder P. U. Del. P. U. Del. P. U. Koch $.4300 $.4758 $.4400 $.4158 $.4000 L. N. Sickels .4300 .4758 .4400 .4138 .4000 Ashland Petroleum .4500 .4853 .4500 WHEREAS, all bids for furnishing bituminous oil were only firm until the date of the bid and that all future orders would be based on the price at the time of delivery: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that all bids for furnishing bituminous oil be hereby rejected. ATTEST: Clerk BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to obtain quotations for the furnishing and delivery of bituminous oil whenever fssary. May 14, 1979 7 Date Mayo f The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
