HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-156 CCRMember Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption RESOLUTION NO. 79 -156 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK UNDER CONTRACT NO. 1978 -G (OONTRACTED BY CITY) WHEREAS, pursuant to written Contract No. 1978 -G signed with the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, Schumann Brothers, Inc. has satisfactorily completed the following improvement in accordance with said contract: Water Tower Maintenance Project No. 1978 -30 Cleaning, repairing, and painting of Water Tower Nos. 1 and 2. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that: 1. The work completed for said project under said contract is hereby accepted and approved. 2. The value of work performed is greater than the original contract amount by $2,211.35 due to the following: a. The el of the ladder modification to Water Tower No. 1 resulted in a reduction of $1,000.00 in the contract amount. b. The substitution of an alternate painting system more resistant to defacement on the lower portion of the legs and appurtenances of both water towers resulted in an increase of $3,211.35 in the contract amount. 3. It is hereby directed that final payment be made on said project, taking the Contractor's receipt in full. The total amount to be paid for said improvement project under said contract, less charges of $382.01 for City removal of unsatisfactory work and for replacement of City tools, shall be $44,829.34. July 9, 1979 Date J M .l' ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon wte being taken thereon, the following voted in fawr thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
