and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 79 -185
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 10,000 GALLON
FUEL OIL STORAGE TANK

WHEREAS, Chapter 471.345 of the Minnesota Statutes provides for
the purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of
construction work by informal quotations when the amount of such contract
is less than ten thousand dollars ($10,000); and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase
of a 10,000 gallon steel fuel oil storage tank and has determined that the
quotation of Midwest Tank Company in the amount of $2,890 is the best
quotation submitted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the
purchase of a 10,000 gallon steel fuel oil storage tank in the amount of
$2,890 from Midwest Tank Company.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and
Celia Scott;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
