CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Chair Eileen Oslund at 7:08 P.M.
ROLL CALL
Members present: Roxanne Bridges, Ron Christensen, Tory Kuefler, Eileen Oslund,
Dia.ne Svianszon, Ted Willard, Tim Willson, Beverly Wolfe
Members absent and excused: Mryna Kragrness, Marie Nyquist
Members absent and unexcused: Bcvd, Robert Mickelson, Rodney Snyder

NEW BUSINESS
Chair Eileen Oslund stated she has_ talked to David Long by phone regarding his status
on the Charter Commission, Mr. Lon- has stated to Chair Oslund that he will be

moving this summer anti is planning to resign from the Charter Commission.
Motion by Bev Wolfe seconded by Ted Willard, to accept David. Long's oral
resignation. Passed unanimously, Chair Oslund will contact the Chief Judge to
inform him of this vacancy, Thus, we now have two vacancies on the commission.
SUE COXXTTTEE ON THE APPOINTMENT PROCESS
Tony Kuefler, Chair for the sub-committee, advised they met on May 31st. Draft
language -for Section 2,05 was re-evaluated and reworded, with copies being sent to
all members before tonight's meeting (3 page document dated

Members were asked if there were any other suggestions or comments on the latest
draft to Section 2.05, The word "consecutive" was misspelled on page 1, of Section
42. 05, item #4,
On Page 2. of Section 2.05b, item 1, the word "Uniform" should be added to start the
first sentence of this section. Also, add a period after the word "doc-uments" in the
second sentence of this section, Then add the following* sentences: "Applications
shall request at a minimum all information required by Minnesota Statutes of
candidates filing for the office. Applications shall not require information defined
by the Minnesota Data Practices Act as non-public information."

needed to be made to the latest draft o� this charter section. As there were seven
members, p-resent tonight (at this point Olf +-h mioeting) out of thirteen total members,
and a 2/3 majority of present membership must vote to approve, a vote could not be
taken on this amendment tonight, NOTES Commissioner Wolfe had to leave the meeting
at 3 p. m.
