Chairperson Commars stated that Commisa ion. ar Hildebrandt reviewed all the past
information regarding this section, His roview. twu recommendations, and
conclusions were provided to members in rO form of a two page memorandum at this
meeting,
After discussion by the Charter Commi.sion members, it was the consensus of
numbers present that cur reViKOnS should address the length of an appointment,
7f over a vear, a special election should be held. If only two candidates file,
there should NOT be a primary election. if mare than two candidates file, there
should be a primary election, Comnissioner Christensen also commented that there
should be better comnunication between the Charter Commission and City Council
members regarding this section before it gets to the point of presenting it to the
City Council for their approval,
