The editor has asked for our response, if there is NOT room to post notice in the paper, would the Charter Commission then feel a "paid" notice of meeting be put in the legal section of the paper? Comments included: the Post should do it as they are the official newspaper of the city; the paper can always find room; Minnesota Statutes state that the official newspaper must dedicate at least half of the paper to business of the city; we fulfill legal requirements by just posting meetings at City Hall, Notion by Marie Castle that since the Brooklyn Center Post is the official paper of the city, it should be published; seconded by Jean Schiebel and passed unanimously. *Members Wbose Terms Will Be Exptring Chairperson Heitzig reminded Tony Kuefler and Ed Commers that their current terms expire on September 18, 1988, and if they would like to be reappointed, they should contact Chief Judge, Peter Lindberg. *Raguest foiL_apiral Bound Charter QaT?ies Commissioner Anderson requested that he receive a spiral bound copy of the City Charter and received explanation as to why we have gone to a three hole punched copy for all members.
