HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-055 CCRMember Rich Theis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84 -55 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS FOR SEAL COAT AGGREGATES WHEREAS, the City Clerk and Director of Public Works have reported that on April 19, 1984 at 11:00 A.M. they opened and tabulated bids received for the furnishing of seal coat aggregate and that said bids were as follows: Bid Item: FA -1 Sand Buckshot FA -2 Rock picked up picked up delivered Bidder Estimated Quantity: 3000 tons 4000 tons 500 tons Barton Sand Gravel Company $1.98 /ton $5.50 /ton No Bid J.L. Shiely Company $2.30 /ton $4.75 /ton $11.75 /ton NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center that: 1. The bid of Barton Sand and Gravel Company for the furnishing of FA -1 sand (picked up) is deemed to be the best bid submitted by a responsible bidder and said bid is hereby accepted. 2. The bids of J.L. Shiely Company for the furnishing of buckshot (picked up) and for the delivery of FA -2 rock are deemed to be the best bids submitted by a responsible bidder and said bids are hereby accepted. z 1--1 'z April 23, 1984 Date Ma �or ATTEST: h/ The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Hawes and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene 1hotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
