HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-066 CCRMember Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84 -66 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR EVERGREEN PARK /AREA IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1984 07, PHASE I (CONTRACT 1984 F) WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for Evergreen Park /Area Improvement Project No. 1984 -07, Phase I and has presented such plans and specifications to the City Council for approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota: 1. The plans and specifications for the following improvement as prepared by the City Engineer are approved.and ordered filed with the City Clerk: EVERGREEN PARK /AREA IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1984 -07, PHASE I 1 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted at least twice in the official newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall appear not less than ten (10) days prior to the date of receipt of bids, and specify the work to be done, state that said bids will be received by the City Clerk until 11:00 A.M. on May 17, 1984, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers at City Hall by the City Clerk and City Engineer, will then be tabluated and will be considered by the City Council at 7:00 P.M. on May 21, 1984, in the Council Chambers, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five percent (5 of the amount of such bid.
