HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-123 CCRMember Rich Theis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 83 -123 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK UNDER CONTRACT 1982 -P (LIONS PARK TENNIS COURT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1982 -20, PHASE I, AND MUNICIPAL SERVICE GARAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1982 -28, PHASE I) WHEREAS, pursuant to written Contract 1982 -P signed with the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, Julian Johnson Construction Company has satisfactorily completed the following improvements in accordance with said contract: LIONS PARK TENNIS COURT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1982 -20, PHASE I MUNICIPAL SERVICE GARAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1982 -28, PHASE I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BE THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that: 1. The work completed under said contract is accepted and approved according to the following schedule: LIONS PARK TENNIS COURT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1982 -20, PHASE I Original Contract Previously Approved $18,801.50 Final Amount $10,791.01 MUNICIPAL SERVICE GARAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1982 -28, PHASE I Original Contract Change Order No. 1 TOTAL $71,686.00 (170.00) $71,516.00 $85,090.04 (170.00) $84,920.04 2. The total value of the work performed at a cost of $95,711.05, is greater than the sum of the original contract and Change Order by $5,393.55 due to a general underestimation of the planned quantities. 3. It is hereby directed that final payment be made on said contract, taking the Contractor's receipt in full. The total amount fo be paid for said improvement under said contract shall be $95,711.05. August 22, 1983 .f+ a� ATTEST: Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 83 -123 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Celia Scott and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same:none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. 1
