HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-140 CCRMember Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 83 -140 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF MS. KAREN DUENOW WHEREAS, Ms. Karen Duenow served as a member of the Brooklyn Center Housing Commission from January 1979 through May 1983; and WHEREAS, her devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of the Commission contributed substantially to the sound progress and development of the City; and WHEREAS, her public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that her service to the community should be recognized and expressed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the dedicated public service of Ms. Karen Duenow as a member of the Brooklyn Center Housing Commission is hereby recognized and appreciated by the Citv of Brooklvn Center. Sentom'k— 7F I QQZ ATTEST: XL Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Hawes and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
