HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-087 CCRMember Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 83 -87 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS, 51ST AVENUE NORTH WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1982 -07 WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 82 -118 adopted by the Council on the 28th day of June, 1982, the Citv Engineer prepared plans and specifications for Improvement Project No. 1982 -07 and has presented such plans and specifica- tions to the Council for approval NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota: 1. The plans and specifications for the following improvement as prepared by the City Engineer are approved and ordered filed with the City Clerk: 51ST AVENUE NORTH WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1982 -07 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted at least once in the official newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall appear not less than ten (10) days prior to the date for receipt of bids, and specify the work to be done, state that said bids will be received by the City Clerk until 11:00 A.M. on June 27, 1983, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers at City Hall by the City Clerk and City Engineer, will then be tabulated and will be considered by the City Council at 7:00 P.M. on June 27, 1983, in the Council Chambers, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for 5 percent of the amount of such bid. June 13, 1983 ATTEST: The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Rich Theis and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
