HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-021 CCRMember Bill Hawes introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 83 -21 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF FOUR WHEEL DRIVE SIDEWALK PLOW WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the purchase of a four wheel drive sidewalk plow, bids were received, opened, and tabulated on the 20th day of January, 1983, said tabulations as follows: Bidder Minnesota Toro, Inc. MacQueen Equipment, Inc. Vrooman Associates Equip. and; Bid Trade -In Net Bid $12,724 $1,500 $11,224 $37,216 $5,500 $31,716 $38,336 $4,000 $34,336 WHEREAS, the City Clerk has advised the City Council that the bids received from Minnesota Toro, Inc. and Vrooman Associates Equipment do not meet the specifications; and WHEREAS, it appears that the bid of MacQueen Equipment, Inc., of St. Paul, in the amount of $31,716 is the lowest responsible bid meeting the specifications and which is in the best interest of the City of Brooklyn Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the bid of MacQueen Equipment, Inc., of St. Paul, in the amount of $31,716 is hereby accepted. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contract for the purchase of said equipment in accordance with the terms of the specification. ATTEST: Mayor CA �J The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
