HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-226 CCRMember Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 82 -226 RESOLUTION AMENDING MUNICIPAL STATE AID STREET CONSTRUCTION POLICY WHEREAS, the City's Municipal State Aid Street policy comprehends the establishment of maximum assessment rates to benefiting residential properties for street improvements to Municipal State Aid Streets; and WHEREAS, said policy provides that the maximum rates will be adjusted annually based on current day costs; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has reported that the Engineering News Record Construction Cost Index for the Minneapolis area has increased 5.4 percent between October, 1981, and October, 1982. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center: (1) that the maximum assessment rate to residential properties for a street paving improvement on a Municipal State Aid street shall be increased from $10.40 per assessable foot to $11.00 per assessable foot. (2) that the maximum assessment rate to residential properties for concrete curb and gutter installation on Municipal State Aid streets shall be increased from $11.00 per assess- able foot to $11.60 per assessable foot. December 6, 1982 Tea i- a ATTEST: e Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Hawes and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
