HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-251 CCR[1 Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 82 -251 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1982 GENERAL FUND BUDGET WHEREAS, on February 22, 1982, the City Council amended the 1982 General Fund Budget to decrease certain departmental appropriations because of the reduction of State shared revenues; and WHEREAS, the City Band, Harmonettes, and Children's Chorus Recreation Programs shared in the budget reductions; and WHEREAS, subsequent to those reductions, these programs are now co- sponsored as a joint community effort by the City of Brooklyn Park; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Park's participation in these programs for the third quarter of this budget year is $1,140; and WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the City Charter does provide for the increase of a budget appropriation by the City Council if the actual receipts exceed the estimates: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to amend the 1982 General Fund Budget to increase the following Recreation Program appropriations in the amount listed: Parks and Recreation Adult Programs 390.00 Children's Programs 750.00 $1,140.00 December 20, 1982 Date ATTEST: Clerk Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Hawes and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
