HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-259 CCRMember Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 82 -259 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1982 AND 1983 GENERAL FUND BUDGETS WHEREAS, the 1982 General Fund Budget appropriated funds for windows in the pool area of the Civic Center; and I WHEREAS, a detailed study is being conducted to evaluate the most cost- effective way of improving the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system for the Civic Center; and WHEREAS, it is anticipated that these funds will be needed to provide HVAC system modifications; and WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the Brooklyn Center City Charter authorizes the City Council to appropriate funds from accumulated surplus in an amount equal to a previous appropriation in the General Fund Budget, if not in fact expended or encumbered for that purpose in the previous fiscal year. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to amend the 1983 General Fund Budget to appropriate $4,851 to the Community Center (Division No. 66), Capital Outlay Building Account No. 4520, from the General Fund Balance to complete said HVAC system modifications in 1983; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to amend the 1982 General Fund Budget to decrease the appropriation for said repairs by the same amount.
