HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-141 CCRMember Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 82 -141 RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND PROVIDING FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1982 -08 (STREET LIGHT INSTALLATION ON EARLE BROWN DRIVE) WHEREAS, Earle Brown Street Light Improvement Project No. 1982 -08 has been placed under contract and the estimated costs are: Installation Cost $4,290.00 Legal and Administrative Cost 220.00 (50 of Installation Cost) TOTAL $4,510.00 and; WHEREAS, the City Clerk has notified the City Council that a proposed assessment has been completed and filed in his office for public inspection. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that: 1. A hearing shall be held on the 13th day of September, 1982, in the City Hall at 8:00 P.M. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 2. The City Clerk is directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. 3. The City Clerk shall cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearing. August 9, 1982 Date i ATTEST: L /J Clerk Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Hawes and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
