HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-144 CCRMember Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 82 -144 RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING AUGUST 11, 1982 AS TIM LAUDNER DAY IN BROOKLYN CENTER WHEREAS, Tim Laudner lived and grew up in Brooklyn Center; and 1 WHEREAS, he has achieved a position of starting catcher with the Minnesota Twins Professional Baseball Team; and WHEREAS, he is Honorary Chairman of Brooklyn Center Family Night with the Twins; and WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that his achievements as a professional athlete be recognized and expressed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that August 11, 1982 is hereby proclaimed as Tim Laudner Day in Brooklyn Center. Auqust 9, 1982 Date ATTEST: Clerk Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Hawes and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. 6
