RESOLUTION NO. 82 -157
RESOLUTION DECLARING SEPTEMBER 11 AS NATIONAL "LIFE. BE IN IT."
FALL FESTIVAL

WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center believes that all its citizens can
benefit from increased physical and cultural activity; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation greatly contributes to
our citizens' social conditions by fashioning a creative and balanced program of
activities, ranging from sports to crafts and community tours; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the "Life. Be In It." program
is one of the best vehicles for increasing citizen awareness about the values and
opportunities for broadened recreational participation; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is bringing the National
"Life. Be In It." Fall Festival to Brooklyn Center as part of a nationwide celebration
of life and the change of seasons.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Brooklyn Center
hereby declares September 11, 1982 as the National "Life. Be In It." Fall Festival
and encourages all citizens to participate to the fullest.

whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
