HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-165 CCRMember Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 82 -165 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENTS ON SEPTEMBER 13, 1982 Minnesota: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, 1. A hearing shall be held on the 13th day of September, 1982, in the City Hall at 8:00 P.M. to pass upon the proposed assessments for the following charges: Public Utility Hookups and Diseased Shade Tree Removal Costs and Delinquent Public Utility Accounts at such time and place all persons owning property to be assessed for such charges will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessments. 2. The City Clerk with the assistance of the City Engineer, shall forthwith prepare assessment rolls for the above charges, and shall keep them on file and open to inspection by any interested persons. 3. The City Clerk is directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessments to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing. 4. The City Clerk shall cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in such assessment rolls not less than two weeks prior to the hearing. August 23, 1982 ATTEST: Clerk Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Rich Theis and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
