RESOLUTION NO. 82 -189
RESOLUTION ADOPTING A HOUSING PLAN FOR THE CITY PURSUANT TO
MINNESOTA STATUTES, CHAPTER 462C
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 462C (the "Act authorizes the
City of Brooklyn Center (the "City to develop and administer programs of making
or purchasing mortgage loans to finance the acquisition of single family housing
units located anywhere within its boundaries for occupancy primarily by persons
of low and moderate income; and
WHEREAS, the Act requires the adoption of a housing plan (the "Housing
Plan after a public hearing held after the publication of notice of the hearing
at least thirty (30) days prior to the public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the City on July 21, 1980, accepted the Brooklyn Center
Comprehensive Plan, 1980 which contains sections relating to housing needs,
analysis of housing needs and housing activities, and authorized and directed
the City Manager to submit the plan to the Metropolitan Council for review; and

WHEREAS, the City has prepared a Housing Plan pursuant to the Act; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn
Center, Minnesota:
1. That the Housing Plan including the portion adopted as a 1982 Single
Family Housing Bond Program as is on file with the City Clerk is
adopted; and
2. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to resubmit the
Housing Plan to the Metropolitan Council for additional review
and comment.

RESOLUTION NO. 82 -189
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Bill Hawes and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes,
and Rich Theis;
and the following voted against the same; none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
