HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-211 CCRMember Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 82 -211 RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND DIRECTING ADVERTISEMENT FOR FOUR (4) POLICE SQUAD CARS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, deems it necessary and the best interest of the City to replace four (4) police squad cars; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has reported that said police squad cars may be purchased at an estimated cost of $10,400 each. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that: 1. The specifications for the police squad cars are hereby approved and ordered filed with the City Clerk. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause the inserted at least once in the official newspaper an advertisement for bids based on the approved specifications. The advertisement shall appear no less than three (3) days prior to the date for receipt of bids. The notice shall state that said bids will be received by the City Clerk until 2 :00 P.M. on December 15, 1982, at which time they will be publicly opened in the City Council Chambers at City Hall by the City Clerk and will then be tabulated and will be considered by the City Council at 7:00 P.M. on December 20, 1982, in the Council Chambers and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk. November 8, 1982 A le ATTEST Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Rich Theis and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
