HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965 11-09 CHCMMINTUS OF THE BROOMYN CENSER CHARTER CONRdSSSION TIME PLACE: The Brooklyn Center Charter Commission net at tine Village Rall, 7100 Osseo Road at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 196% AIWI 5 THOSE, PRESENT: Ifilliam Arrell Henry Dorff, Quentin Gustafson, Robert Johnson, Raymond Matthys, Charles Nichols, Barbara Swart, Ward Whalen, Wilfred Zalaznik. Virginia Tesch arrived at 8:05 p.m., Elizabeth Bush arrived at 9 :00 p,m., Marie Erickson arrived at 9:00 p.m, THOSE ABSENT: Arthur Callahan, Robert Puncochar The meeting was called to order by Chairman William Arrell at 8 :01 p.m. The Chairman reported that Betsy Bush would be late and Art Callahan would not be present. Roll call taken. The Chairman introduced Mr, Tony Kuefler of the Brooklyn Center Jaycees. Mr. Kuefler reported that the Jaycees are going to make a community survey of Brooklyn Center and asked if any member of the Commission would want to contribute to the survey. Discussion was held. No action was taken. Motion was made by Will Zalaznik and seconded by Chuck Nichols that the minutes of the October 26, 1965 meeting be approved as submitted. Motion carried unanimously, Bob Johnson reported for Section A, Chanter 4, Sections 4.01 through 4.04. Discussion was held on these sections. Chuck Nichols asked to be excused at 9:35 p.m, Bob Johnson continued his report on Chapter 4, Sections 4.05 and 406. Motion was made by Gus Gustafson and seconded by Marie Erickson to have MaCley Hyde present at the November 23rd meeting, Motion carried unanimously. Will Zalaznik asked to be excused at 9 :55 p.m, Bob Johnson continued his report on Chmter 4, Section 4.07 and 4.08 Ward Whalen reported for Section C on Chapter ll, Section 11.06 and Chapter 12 Sections 12.01 through 12.04. Motion was made by Ward Whalen and seconded by Ray Matthys to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
