TIME PLACE: The Brooklyn Center Charter Commission met at the
Village Hall, 7100 Osseo Road at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday,
October 12, 1965°
THOSE PR7SEITT: William Arrell, Elizabeth Bush, Arthur Callahan,
Henry Dorff, Marie Bricksonw ',ueui Gustafson,
Robert Johnson, Raymond Matthys, Charles Nichols,
Barbara Swart, Virginia Tesch, 'lard 1 .1halen and
Wilfred Zalaznik.
TPOSE ABSEITT: Josenh Barnes, Robert Puncochar.
The meeting was called to order at 8:03 p.m. by Chairman William Arrell,
The Chairman renorted that Joseph Barnes and Robert Puncochar would not be
present. Roll call was taken.
Mrs. vlizabeth Bu:;h, the nevi dommission member, was introduced.
Motioft was made by Art Callahan and seconded by Marie Erickson, that the
minutes of the 8e 28th meeting be annroved as submitted. Motion
carried by 12. One abstained.
Gus Gustafson, Chairman of the Publi6 Relations Committeei retorted it was
decided not to submit an article about the commission until after local
elections.
The Chairman read his letter to Charles Little of the Richfield Charter
Commission.
Ward Whalen renorted further on Chapter 9, Section 9.04. Discussion was
held.
Henry Dorff reported for Section B. and discussion eras held on Chapter 6,
Section 6.02, 6.03 and 6.04.
Ilotion was made by Ward Whalen and second.ed by RIenry Dorff for a special
order of business. Motion carried, 12 in favor, l opposed.
Discussion continued on Chanter 6, Section 6.04.
Motion was made by Will Zalaznik and seconded by Marie Erickson that the
meeting be adjourned. Motion carried unani:eously.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:53 p.m.
