HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-024 CCR Member Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 79 -24 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR FRONT END LOADER WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and City Clerk have reported that on December 28, 1978, at 11 :00 o'clock A.M., central standard time, they opened and tabulated bids received for a front end loader, and that said bids were as follows: Ziegler, Valley Case Power Midway Tractor Inc. Equipment Co. Equipment Co. Equipment Co. Bid Price $63,705.00 $64,385.00 $54,795.00 $45,863.00 Trade -in $13,910.00 $18,119.00 $9,762.00 $7,500.00 Net Price Bid $49,795.00 $46,266.00 $45,033.00 $38,363.00 5 Yr. Maint. Contract $3,800.00 $3,400.00 $4,000.00 No Bid 5 Yr. Repurchase (Guaranteed Salvage Value) $53,600.00 $47,543.00 $45,872.00 No Bid Total Cost Evaluation $5.00 $2,123.00 $3,161.00 WHEREAS, the bid of Midway.Tractor Equipment does not comply with the specifications; and WHEREAS, the bid of Ziegler, Inc., complies with the specific- ations and includes a 5 year maintenance bid and a guaranteed repurchase price; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has shown that the bid of Ziegler, Inc., represents the best bid submitted to the City of Brooklyn Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the bid of Ziegler, Inc., for a Caterpillar 930 rubber -tired front end loader with a 5 year maintenance contract and guaranteed repurchase provision in the amounts of $49,795.00 for the machine, including repurchase provisions, and $760.00 per year additional for the 5 year maintenance contract, all in accordance with specifica- tions, is deemed to be the best bid submitted by a responsible bidder, and said bid is hereby accepted.
