HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-039 CCR Member Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 79 39 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF MRS. VIOLA KANATZ WHEREAS, Mrs. Viola Kanatz served as a member of the Charter Commission from April, 1972 through December, 1976 and as that body's Chairman from January, 1977 through November, 1978; and WHEREAS, her devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of this Commission and the leadership she provided contributed substantially to the sound progress and development of the City; and WHEREAS, her public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that: The dedicated public service of Mrs. Viola Kanatz as a member and Chairman of the Charter Commission and citizen, is recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. January 22, 1979 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
