HomeMy WebLinkAbout1978-203 CCR Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 78 -203 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF LIEUTENANT ROBERT LEONARD WHEREAS, Lieutenant Robert Leonard served as a Patrol Officer from January, 1956 through March, 1958 and a Sergeant from March, 1958 through January, 1965 and as a Lieutenant from January, 1965 through September, 1978; and WHEREAS, his devotion to the tasks and responsibilities associated with this position contributed substantially to the sound progress and develop ment of the City; and WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that: The dedicated public service of Lieutenant Robert Leonard is recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. September 25, 1978 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
