RESOLUTION NO. 78 -203
RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION
FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF LIEUTENANT ROBERT
LEONARD
WHEREAS, Lieutenant Robert Leonard served as a Patrol Officer from
January, 1956 through March, 1958 and a Sergeant from March, 1958 through
January, 1965 and as a Lieutenant from January, 1965 through September, 1978;
and
WHEREAS, his devotion to the tasks and responsibilities associated
with this position contributed substantially to the sound progress and develop
ment of the City; and
WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the betterment of
the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center that:
The dedicated public service of Lieutenant Robert Leonard
is recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka,
and Celia Scott;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
