HomeMy WebLinkAbout1978-291 CCR Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 78 -291 RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS FOR TRAFFIC SIGNALS AND ROADWAY REVISIONS AT THE INTERSECTION OF T.H. 100 AND FRANCE AVENUE NORTH IN BROOKLYN CENTER. WHEREAS the Commissioner of the Department of Transportation has prepared preliminary plans for the improvement of a part of Trunk Highway Number 212 renumbered as Trunk Highway No. 100 within the corporate limits of the City of Brooklyn Center, from Twin Lake to France Avenue in Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS said preliminary plans are on file in the Office of the Department of Transportation, Saint Paul, Minnesota, being marked, labeled, and identified as Layout No. IA S.P. 2755 -32 (100 =212) from Twin Lake to France Avenue in Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS copies of said preliminary plans as so marked, labeled, and identified are also on file in the Office of the City Clerk; and WHEREAS the term "said preliminary plans as hereinafter used in the body of this resolution shall be deemed and intended to mean, refer to, and to incorporate the preliminary plans as in the foregoing recitals particularily identified and described; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that said preliminary plans for the improvement of Trunk Highway Number 212 renumbered Trunk Highway Number 100 within the limits of the City of Brooklyn Center be and hereby approved with the following conditions: 1. The intersection of France Avenue North with North Lilac Drive be amended to provide for France Avenue North to intersect with 48th Avenue North rather than North Lilac Drive in a design as approved by the City Engineer. 2. The plans be amended to provide for sidewalk and pedestrian crossing indicators on the traffic signals as approved by the City Engineer. December 18, 1978 Date MG�� ATTEST: r Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
