HomeMy WebLinkAbout1978-181 CCR Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 78-181 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A NEW 60 TON RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR CHILLER FURNISHED AND INSTALLED COMPLETE WHEREAS, Chapter 471.345 of the Minnesota Statutes provides for the purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction work by informal quotations when the amount of such contract is less than ten 'thousand dollars ($10,000); and WHEREAS, 'the City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase of a new 60 ton compressor chiller and has determined 'that 'the quotation of Palen- Kimball Company in the amount of $8,000 is the best quotation submitted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the purchase of one 60 'ton reciprocating compressor chiller furnished and installed complete p g com P in the amount of $8,000 from Palen- Kimball Company, 2505 University Avenue, St. Paul. August 14, 1978 Date V Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of 'the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Celia Scott and upon vote being taken thereon, 'the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against 'the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
