HomeMy WebLinkAbout1978-057 CCR Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption; RESOLUTION NO. 78 -57 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF 100 DOZEN SOFTBALLS, WHEREAS, Chapter 471.345 of the Minnesota Statutes provides for the purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction work by informal quotations when the amount of such contract is less than ten thousand dollars ($10,000); and WHEREAS, 'the City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase of 100 dozen softballs (Dudley Red Stitch) and has determined that the quotation of ABQ Sports and Lettering Company, 206 North White Bear Avenue, St. Paul Minnesota in the amount of $2,925 for 100 dozen Dudley Red Stitch softballs @$29.25 /dozen is the best quotation submitted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of -the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the purchase of 100 dozen Dudley Red Stitch softballs in 'the amount of $2,925 from ABQ Sports and Lettering Company. March 27, 1978 Date Mayor ATTEST: Cl8'r k The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken -thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler,Bill Fignar Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
