moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 78 -62
RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING MAY 3, 1978 AS SUN DAY IN
BROOKLYN CENTER
WHEREAS, Sun Day is being sponsored by the Brooklyn Center League
of Women Voters to encourage and promote the use of alternative energy sources
in Brooklyn Center; and
WHEREAS, Sun Day is a national day of recognition to raise the awareness
of the citizens to present and future potentials of solar and other alternative
renewable energy resources.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center to proclaim May 3, 1978 as Sun Day in Brooklyn Center and to
encourage participation in Sun Day activities at the Brooklyn Center Civic Center
which will be held from 7:00 p.m, to 9:30 p.m, in the Social Hall.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar,
Gene Lhotka and Celia Scott;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
