HomeMy WebLinkAbout1978-093 CCR Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 78-93 RESOLUTION ENDORSING HOME IMPROVEMENT GRANT REQUESTS WHEREAS, Council Resolution No. 77 -138, adopted July 11, 1977, requested the Metropolitan Council Housing and Redevelopment Authority to apply for Reha- bilitative Grant funds for the City of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, the City was allocated a total grant amount of $19,602.00; and WHEREAS, following a 7% deduction for administrative costs, the balance of grant funds is $18,229.86; and WHEREAS, grant applications for eligible work have been submitted by eligible homeowners and said applications have been reviewed and evaluated according to State criteria; and WHEREAS, said applications were reviewed and evaluated by the Housing Advisory Commission on April 25 and May 16, 1978 and ranked according to the Selection Criteria adopted by the Council on January 23, 1978; and WHEREAS, said applications are to be now referred to the MHRA and the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for final approval: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to endorse the following Home Improvement Grant applications, in the amounts shown which are approximate, based upon current bid estimates; Address Name Amount of Grant 6730 Perry Avenue Mary Lee 3,115.00 3913 58th Avenue Glenda Jordan 2,805.00 3901 52nd Avenue June Wyman 1,780.00 5947 Bryant Avenue Lawrence Kraus 2,650.00 5900 June Avenue Shirley Meyers 3,175.00 4207 63rd Avenue Brigita Duffy 1,170.00 6430 Toledo Avenue Cheryl Peterson 790.00 Total $15,485.00 RESOLUTION NO. 78 -93 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to the extent funds are available, the above amounts may be adjusted within program limits for approved and eligible work.
