moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 78-93
RESOLUTION ENDORSING HOME IMPROVEMENT GRANT REQUESTS
WHEREAS, Council Resolution No. 77 -138, adopted July 11, 1977, requested
the Metropolitan Council Housing and Redevelopment Authority to apply for Reha-
bilitative Grant funds for the City of Brooklyn Center; and
WHEREAS, the City was allocated a total grant amount of $19,602.00;
and
WHEREAS, following a 7% deduction for administrative costs, the balance
of grant funds is $18,229.86; and
WHEREAS, grant applications for eligible work have been submitted by
eligible homeowners and said applications have been reviewed and evaluated
according to State criteria; and
WHEREAS, said applications were reviewed and evaluated by the Housing
Advisory Commission on April 25 and May 16, 1978 and ranked according to the
Selection Criteria adopted by the Council on January 23, 1978; and
WHEREAS, said applications are to be now referred to the MHRA and
the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for final approval:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center to endorse the following Home Improvement Grant applications,
in the amounts shown which are approximate, based upon current bid estimates;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to the extent funds are available, the above
amounts may be adjusted within program limits for approved and eligible work.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Tony Kuefler and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka,
and Celia Scott;
and the following oted against the same:
none
