HomeMy WebLinkAbout1978-098 CCR Member Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 7 8 9 8 RESOLUTION APPROVING MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR TRAFFIC NOISE ATTENUATORS AND LANDSCAPING ON PORTIONS OF T.H. 94 WESTERLY OF T.H. 152. WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Transportation for the State of Minnesota has caused to be prepared: plans, special provisions, and specifications for the improvement of Trunk Highway No. 393, renumbered as Trunk Highway No. 94, within the corporate limits of the City of Brooklyn Center, from the west corporate limits to T.H. 152 in Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, said plans are on file in the office of the Department of Transportation, St. Paul, Minnesota; being marked, labeled, and identified as: S.P. 2786 -61 (94 =393); and WHEREAS, said special provisions are on file in the office of the Department of Transportation, St. Paul, Minnesota; being marked, labeled, and identified as: S.P. 2786 -61 (94 =393); and which, together with the "Minnesota Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Highway Construction," dated 1978, will govern, and which are on file in the office of the Commissioner of Transportation, constitute the specifications for said improvement of Trunk Highway No. 393, renumbered as Trunk Highway No. 94; and WHEREAS, copies of said plans and special provisions as so marked, labeled, and identified are also on file in the Office of the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, the term, "said plans and special provisions," as hereinafter used in the body of this resolution will be deemed and intended to mean, refer to, and incorporate the plans and special provisions in the foregoing recitals particularly identified and described; and WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Transportation desires in the,in- terest of public safety that any and all parking of vehicles, if such parking is permitted within the corporate limits of the City of Brooklyn Center, on said Trunk Highway No. 393, renumbered as Trunk Highway No. 94, will be parallel with the curb adjacent to the highway and will be at least 20 feet from any crosswalk. NOW, THEN, BE IT RESOLVED that said plans and special provisions for the improvement of Trunk Highway No. 393, renumbered as Trunk Highway No. 94, within the corporate limits of the City of Brooklyn Center, be and hereby are approved. RESOLUTION NO. 78 -98 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Brooklyn Center does hereby agree to require the parking of all vehicles, if such parking is permitted within the corporate limits of said City, on said Trunk Highway No. 393, renumbered Trunk Highway No. 94, will be parallel with the curb adjacent to the highway, and at least 20 feet from any crosswalks on all public streets intersecting said trunk highway. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the elevations and grades as shown in said plans and special provisions are hereby approved and consent is hereby given to any and all changes in grade occasioned by the construction of Trunk Highway No. 393, renumbered Trunk Highway No. 94, in accordance with said plans and special provisions.
