and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 78 -31
RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR DISEASED
SHADE TREE REMOVAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1978 -1
AND DIRECTING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (CONTRACT 1978 -A)
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn
Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The specifications Removal

Improvement Project No. 1978 -1 are hereby approved and ordered
filed with the Clerk.
2. The Clerk shall advertise for bids for such improvement
by publication at least once in the official newspaper and in the
Construction Bulletin, the date of first publication not less than
ten (10) days prior to the date of receipt of bids. Said notice
shall state that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed
and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, cashier's check or
certified check payable to the City Clerk in the amount of not less
than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00).
3. Bid date is set for Tuesday, February 28, 1978, at
11:00 a.m., central standard time.
4. The City Manager and the Director of Parks and Recreation
shall be authorized to open and tabulate the bids.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Tony Kuefler and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Nyquist, Tony
Kuefler, Bill Fgnar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
