moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 78 -40
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DEMOLITION OF BUILDING
AT 7100 BROOKLYN BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, Chapter 471.345 of the Minnesota Statutes provides for the
purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction
work by informal quotations when the amount of such contract is less than ten
thousand dollars ($10,000); and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase
of building demolition and has determined that the quotation of Bel Air Wrecking
Company in the amount of $6,650.00 is the best quotation submitted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the purchase
of building demolition in the amount of $6,650.00 from Bel Air Wrecking Company.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Celia Scott and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
