HomeMy WebLinkAbout1978-044 CCR Member Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 78 -44 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FIRE TRAINING EXERCISE WHEREAS, the City Manager reports a request from the Fire Chief to conduct a fire training exercise at 5900 Penn Avenue North; and WHEREAS, the structure at that location is owned by Lynn L. Charlson, P.O. Box 299, Excelsior, Minnesota; and WHEREAS, Mr. Charlson is willing to grant a request that the structure be used for a fire training exercise by the Brooklyn Center Fire Department and has agreed to be responsible for cleaning up the site following the exercise. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to authorize the Brooklyn Center Fire Department to conduct a fire training exercise at 5900 Penn Avenue North. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except for negligent acts of Mr. Charlson, his agents and employees, the City of Brooklyn Center assumes all liability for, and will save Mr. Charlson, his agents and employees harmless from, all claims for damages, actions or causes of action arising out of the use of the subject structure by the City for Fire Department training.
