moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 77 -203
RESOLUTION FOR FACSIMILE SIGNATURES
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of 'the City of Brooklyn Center,
Minnesota, that the First National Bank of Minneapolis, as a designated
depository of the City of Brooklyn Center, be and is hereby requested,
authorized and directed to honor all checks drawn upon all City accounts
when bearing the manual signatures of (or bearing or purporting to bear the
facsimile signatures of) City Manager Gerald G. Splinter and City Treasurer
Paul W. Holmlund
The First National Bank of Minneapolis shall be entitled to honor and
'to charge the City for all checks bearing said facsimile signatures without
liability to determine whether the person or persons affixing the facsimile
signatures thereon have or had authority to do so and regardless of by whom
or by what means the facsimile signatures thereon have been affixed thereto,
if such facsimile signatures resemble the facsimile specimens from time to
time furnished to or filed with said First National Bank of Minneapolis by the
City Manager; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any and all resolutions heretofore
adopted by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center and certified 'to
'the First National Bank of Minneapolis as governing the operation of such
City accounts with it, be and are hereby continued in full force and effect;
except as the same may be supplemented or modifie by the foregoing part of
this resolution.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler,
Bill Fignar, and Gene Lhotka;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
