RESOLUTION NO. 77-223
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF REPAIR OF A 150 HP
ELECTRIC MOTOR
WHEREAS, Chapter 471.345 of the Minnesota Statutes provides for the
purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction
work by informal quotations when the amount of such contract is less 'than ten
thousand dollars ($10,000); and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase of
rewinding and installing new bearings on a 150 hp pump motor and has determined
'that the quotation of Boustead Electric Manufacturing Company in an amount
not to exceed $2,200 is 'the best quotation submitted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the purchase
of rewinding and installing new bearings on a 150 hp pump motor in an amount
not to exceed $2,200 from Boustead Electric nuf turing Company.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Bill Fignar and upon vote thereon the following voted in
favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and
Gene Lhotka;
and the following against: none,
whereupon said resolution was duly passed and adopted.
