HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-230 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 77 -230 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1977 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO PROVIDE THE CITY'S SHARE FOR A COUNTY -WIDE ENGINEERING STUDY OF THE AREA'S POLICE, FIRE AND EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM WHEREAS, Section 7.09 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center provides for a contingency appropriation as a part of the General Fund Budget and further provides that the contingency appropriation may be transferred to any other appropriations by the City Council; and WHEREAS, on October 4, 1976, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center adopted a budget for the calendar year 1977; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center is a member of the Hennepin County Emergency Communications Organization (HECO); and WHEREAS, t b Council H REAS, subsequent to the adoption of the 1977 budge y the the Board of Directors of HECO, on October 28, 1977, requested a financial commitment from each of the HECO members to finance a county -wide engineering study of the area's police, fire and emergency communications system; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the study is necessary and will be of value to the City: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to amend the 1977 General Fund Budget to fund the City's share of the HECO study by transferring 3 500 from the Contingency Appropriation (Account No. 01- 4995- 000 -82) to the Police Department Legal and Professional Services Appropriation (Account No. 01-4312-000-U) November 28, 1977 Date Mayor ATTEST: C lerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Gene Lhotka; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
