moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 77 -238
RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION
FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF MR. LOU HOWARD
WHEREAS, Mr. Lou Howard served as a Charter member of the
Housing Commission and as that body's Chairman from October, 1973
through November, 1977; and
WHEREAS, his devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of this
Commission, and the leadership he provided, contributed substantially to
the sound progress and development of the City; and
WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the betterment of
the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center that:
The dedicated public service of Mr. Lou Howard as a
member of the Housing Commission and citizen, is
recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar,
and Gene Lhotka;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
