HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-144 CCR Member Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 77 -144 RESOLUTION REQUESTING REMOVAL FROM TAX FORFEITED LIST "652 -NC" OF CERTAIN PUBLIC LANDS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center has received from the County of Hennepin, a list of lands in Brooklyn Center which became the property of the State of Minnesota, for nonpayment of 1968 or 1969 real estate taxes; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center acquired Plat 89035, Parcel 500, and Plat 89035, Parcel 9000 by condemnation on July 10, 1968 and same parcels appeared on the tax forfeited list 652 -NC; and WHEREAS, the continuing intention of the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center is to own and hold for public purposes the subject parcels of land; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be instructed to make application for cancellation of certificate of forfeiture and the City Assessor to thereafter abate the delinquent taxes on the subject parcels, 89035 500 and 89035 9000. July 18, 1977 Date 1 Mayor ATTEST: v P" Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Gene Lhotka; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
