HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-148 CCR Member Bill Fignar introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 77 -148 RESOLUTION FOR FACSIMILE SIGNATURES BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the First National Bank of Minneapolis, as a designated depository of the City of Brooklyn Center, be and is hereby requested, authorized and directed to honor all checks drawn upon all City accounts when bearing the manual signatures of (or bearing or purporting 'to bear the facsimile signatures of) Acting City Manager James R. Merila and City Treasurer Paul W. Holmlund The First National Bank of Minneapolis shall be entitled to honor and to charge the City for all checks bearing said facsimile signatures without liability to determine whether the person or persons affixing the facsimile signatures thereon have or had authority to do so and regardless of by whom or by what means the facsimile signatures thereon have been affixed thereto, if such facsimile signatures resemble the facsimile specimens from time to 'time furnished to or file with said First National Bank of Minneapolis by the Acting City Manager; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any and all resolutions heretofore adopted by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center and certified to 'the First National Bank of Minneapolis as governing the operation of such City accounts with it, be and are hereby continued in full force and effect; except as the same may be supplemented or mo 'fied by the foregoing part of this resolution. r July 25, 1977 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerl/ The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by member Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Gene Lhotka; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
