HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-164 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 77-164 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF SHADE TREES WHEREAS, Chapter 471.345 of the Minnesota Statutes provides for the purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction work by informal quotations when the amount of such contract is less 'than ten thousand dollars ($10,000); and WHEREAS, the Acting City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase of shade trees and has determined that the quotation of Instant Shade, Inc. in 'the amount of $4,000 for shade trees based on the installed price of $30 per diameter inch plus $15 per diameter inch if tree furnished by Instant Shade (based on a 5" tree furnished and installed the price would be $245) is the best quotation sub- mitted: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center 'that the Acting City Manager be a thorized to contract for the purchase of shade trees in the amount of S4 000 In s* nt d Inc. September 12, 1977 Date v Mayor ATTEST: The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Gene Lhotka; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
