HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-028 CCR Member Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and g 1 moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 77 -28 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF 7,000 GALLONS OF #2 HEATING OIL WHEREAS, the supplier of heating oil through the Hennepin County purchasing arrangement has fulfilled and terminated its contract; and WHEREAS, a subsequent call for bids through the Hennepin County Purchasing Agreement yielded no bids submitted by fuel oil suppliers; and WHEREAS, Chapter 471.345 of the Minnesota Statutes provides for the purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction work by informal quotations when the amount of such contract is less 'than five thousand dollars ($5,000); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase of heating oil from the open market and has determined 'that the quotation of Union Oil Company in the amount of $2,709 for 7,000 gallons of heating oil is the best quotation submitted: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the purchase of 7,000 gallons of heating oil for an amount of $2,70 from Union Oil Company. February 7, 1977 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Gene Lhotka; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
